Why You Should Love Using Instagram: How Videos and Stories Can Help Your Brand

Ok, I need to admit that Instagram is my favorite tool to use for my brand. Instagram offers a video and photo sharing app that displays content in a slide show format that disappears after 24 hours. Users can use stickers, drawings, filters, and other creative features in their stories. There’s so many cool and fun things you can do with your photo and videos. I’m obsessed with Instagram’s stories is because it allows your followers to get in touch with a different side of you. Remember, people love authenticity. When they see a glimpse into your life, they absolutely LOVE it. This is one important strategy you can use to engage with your target audience.

If you own a business Instagram stories can increase traffic to your blog or website. If you’re a blogger, show your followers a video scroll when your post goes live. Get creative and find ways to engage with your followers.  You can actually start a profitable sales funnel and begin to see an increase in your profits. Talk to your followers about anything – what you ate at brunch, the outfit you just bought at your favorite boutique, or advice on how to enjoy a long holiday weekend. You don’t always have to focus on the topic of your brand; feel free to go off topic and mix it up sometimes. Have fun with it.

Going LIVE on Instagram can help your business. Nearly 50% of brands use Instagram, and that number is set to increase this year alone. You can use this feature to host webinars, host Q&A sesh, or showcase a special event that you’re attending. People want to see a face behind the brand – who you are, and what you do.

  1. Are you a designer? Give people an office tour; show them your latest designs and work space.
  2. Launching a new course? Talk about what the course is all about and tell people how to join.
  3. Fashion blogger? Take your followers along with you to your events and shows.

The most important thing I want you to take away from this is, people are more likely to buy from brands or read blog that are relatable. There is nothing more relatable than a brand that is conversational. So use Instagram stories and go LIVE to connect with your audience.
