Hi Maria! Welcome to The Boss Diary! So glad you’re here. Tell me all about how you started your fitness journey.

I Started my fitness journey as an outlet to combat the stresses and struggles of everyday life. I also experienced decline in my physical health which inspired me to do everything I could to be healthy inside and out.

I find it so admirable that your mission is to help others succeed in finding the best version of themselves through a healthy lifestyle. What are some of the ways in which you help people achieve this?

Thank you so much, I think it is so important to take things one day at a time and remember that every single person started at day one. Comparison really is the thief of joy and every path to wellness is completely unique. I try to remain extremely open to anyone that may need advice or consulting whether it is through social media or face to face.

I love your workout guides on your website – I actually have to try one for myself! Is there a specific process that you follow when coming up with the routines?

One of my favorite parts about working out is coming up with exercises that go well together and target the right muscle groups. If I am going to incorporate a workout onto a guide I will always test it out first for its effectiveness.

Everyone has a purpose, and it’s so refreshing to find women who are truly living out their dreams.. How would you define your own purpose?

I believe truly, that my purpose in life is to be happy and to spread kindness. At the end of the day if all measures of someone’s worldly success and money went away and they were still happy and surrounded by genuine people then that’s all anyone could ever hope for, in my opinion.

Who are some of your favorite business women or entrepreneurs that you look up to and have inspired your work?

Honestly even though she is not related to fitness, Coco Chanel has been an inspiration of mine my entire life. She started at the very bottom with absolutely nothing and paved the way for women after her.

Tell me one thing that most people may not know about you.

I would love to start a non for profit someday that helps people with nutrition related diseases in developing nations. It is part of why I am so addicted to traveling and seeing the world.

Are there any projects you are working on, and/or upcoming events that we should know about?

I would love to start a non for profit someday that helps people with nutrition related diseases in developing nations. It is part of why I am so addicted to traveling and seeing the world.

Name one thing that your hometown city is known for that some people may not know.

My home town has a strawberry festival every year and my senior year I was actually crowned the strawberry queen for the festival.

Before you go, what is one piece of advice you would give to women out there who are looking to change their lifestyle through fitness?

Start small. Add things to your daily routine rather than stressing over all the things you should “cut out,” this can make things seem much less overwhelming and you have a higher rate of success.
