4 Mobile Apps For Fashion + Lifestyle Bloggers

Hello my lovely blogger babes! I hope everyone is soaking up all this summer sun. The weather right now is just gorgeous, and I’m loving it! Along with beautiful weather comes tons of selfies and brand new content for your blog or website. I love taking photos outside and searching for that perfect brick wall back drop. I wanted to put a list together of my top 4 apps that I use everyday. These apps will help elevate your blog game on the go! So let’s get right into it….

Canva – I am obsessed with Canva. Although it can be glitchy at times, this is my favorite design app. Canva allows you to do everything you need to create an amazing and beautiful design. With millions of  images to choose from, hundreds of fonts, and a large selection of photo filters, you have endless options. As a graphic designer, I love that Canva allows me to create so many different templates for presentations, social media graphics and website layouts. The best part is, you don’t have to worry about cropping your designs to fit your posts – everything is customized to fit all of your favorite social media apps. Canva is free to use, but there is a paid option that you can purchase for more options. I still use the free version because I feel like I have all the tools and layouts that I need. But some people might feel the need to upgrade. If you want your blog or website to have graphics that are engaging and will attract more readers to your posts, then Canva is a great start. The more you play around with it, the more familiar you’ll become.  Here are a few examples of Instagram and Pinterest graphics I created using this app:

Vsco Cam – This is probably my favorite photo editing app. I love the filters and the editing tools they have. The one I use the most is A5. This filter makes your posts look so dramatic and moody. For those of you who have more of a minimal blog and Instagram theme, Vsco Cam is perfect for you. H1 and H2 are also some really nice filters. Here’s an example of an unedited photo and what it looks like after I edited it with the A5 filter.

Buffer – Scheduling posts is so much easier when you have an app ike Buffer. Love it! You can connect your Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, Pinterest, LinkedIn, and Google+ accounts. I use Buffer mostly for Twitter and Instagram. I create a post and set a time that I want it to be posted, OR, Buffer sets a time for you. If you want to post 4 times a day, it will automatically create a schedule for the entire day. AND I can also check all of my social media analytics. This is so important to us as bloggers, because I’m sure we all wonder, who is actually reading and clicking our posts. Buffer is also free, but there 4 other paid options. If I were you, I would stick with the free version. It allows you to post up to 10 times a day, which I think is pretty legit. Although if you are someone who wants to post more and wants additional features, then you can upgrade. Try this one out if you haven’t already! Note *make sure you set yourself up in the right time zone!*

WordPress – Blogger babes, please download your blogging platform on your phone! I can’t tell you how many times I’ve been away from my computer and I desperately needed to add or fix something in my post. Instead of logging on to the internet, typing in ‘wordpress.com’ and waiting for the page to load (and without wifi it takes forevvvvver), just go to your app and find everything you need there. With this app you can update your blog posts, see who is commenting and reply, and add media files from your phone into your wordpress library. Don’t make things harder for yourself! Find ways to be stress free when you’re out and about and don’t have your laptop handy.

I hope these apps help you with your blogging and your content. Let me know on Twitter and Instagram by using the hashtag #bossdiarychallenge. I’d love to see your progress. As always, I’m here for you — send me a comment below or shoot me an e-mail at thebossdiary@gmail.com if you have any questions. Thanks for reading girl boss! xx
